What is an examination under oath?

You have post-loss obligations pursuant to your insurance policy, and one of those is to comply with an examination under oath when it’s requested. It’s the insurance company’s opportunity to have their attorney ask you questions related to the loss. They can ask you any number of questions related to how to fix the loss, what was broken, what happened, what cause the loss.

Now, insurance company is going to have their attorney there. It would be wise to have an attorney there to represent your interest as well and make sure that the questions that the attorney is asking from the insurance are relevant and are not infringing upon your rights.
