What are additional living expenses?

Additional living expenses are those expenses that you incur above and beyond your normal living conditions. For example, if you have to stay at a hotel while your home is being repaired and you have additional hotel bills, if you have additional groceries that you have to buy or you have to eat out instead of purchasing groceries that you would prepare for meals at home. The additional expense that you incur eating out over and above what you would spend on groceries is considered your additional living expense.
