The insurance company hired a fire investigator. Should I hire my own or rely on theirs?

This is going to depend heavily on the facts of your particular claim. If your insurance company has already afforded coverage, meaning they’ve already told you that your loss is covered, then you can simply cooperate with their fire investigation, which may be for any number of different purposes. However, if the insurance company is questioning the cause of the loss, perhaps the insurance company is asking about whether there is arson, you may want to hire your own fire investigator regarding your loss. Regardless of whether or not the insurance company is hiring an investigator or you’re hiring your own regarding your fire claim, you will certainly want to seek the advice of competent counsel regarding this issue.
