Is the insurance company’s adjuster looking out for me?

In theory, yes, but in practice, no. The insurance adjusters are guided by an ethical code of conduct which does require them to maintain and keep your best interest in mind. However, in practice that isn’t generally what always happens as they are hired by the insurance company to do a job. If you feel as though your insurance adjuster doesn’t have your best interest in mind, you should contact a professional that you can hire to assist you, and we’ll keep your best interest in mind.
