If I sue the insurance company can I get damages for bad faith slander or emotional distress?

Under certain circumstances you can recover bad faith damages, which are damages not covered by the contract. As far as emotional distress and slander, those are different causes of action, and they’re generally not recovered pursuant to your contract.
