Jesse Long

Jesse Long is a trusted advocate for policyholders in complex property insurance disputes, known for delivering strategic, results-driven representation against insurance carriers.

Mr. Long’s practice is focused on first-party property insurance litigation, representing homeowners, condominium associations, and commercial property owners in complex insurance disputes throughout Florida. He is known for his strategic approach, responsiveness, and commitment to maximizing client recoveries.

Originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey, Mr. Long earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from Muhlenberg College in 2012, where he was a member of the NCAA Division III football team. During his collegiate career, he contributed to two Centennial Conference Championship teams and NCAA playoff appearances.

He received his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2015, graduating with Pro Bono Honors for his extensive service to underserved communities through Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and the Disability and Public Benefits Clinic.

During law school, Mr. Long was an active member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and the Robert E. Williams Inn of Court. He dedicated significant time to public service through Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, where he assisted underserved and homeless individuals with accessing the legal system. His work included volunteering at the Sulzbacher Center and serving as a student clinician in the Disability and Public Benefits Clinic, where he helped families obtain guardian advocacies and assisted clients with Social Security disability claims.

In 2015, Mr. Long began his legal career in Boca Raton, Florida, at a small first-party property law firm representing policyholders in first-party insurance disputes against major insurance carriers. In 2017, he built and led a first-party property practice at a plaintiffs’ firm in Weston, Florida, where he was elevated to Partner.

In 2019, Mr. Long founded Legal Grit, PLLC, where he developed a client-focused practice dedicated to advocating for policyholders and built strong relationships within the insurance claims industry.

In 2026, Mr. Long joined Fuxa & Tyler, where he leverages the firm’s resources and collaborative platform to further enhance client outcomes and continue delivering high-level advocacy across Florida.
