How long does a policyholder have to report a claim?

Return to FAQ Videos

A policy holder should report a claim as soon as he or she is aware of that claim. Under the contract of insurance, policy holders have a duty to report claims timely to their insurance company. This is so that the insurance company is not prejudiced during the course of its investigation.
